getting ready for fri

Submitted by Mike on Wed, 2006-06-14 21:56.

clutches assembled with a baseline. straight 36 helix. i like to start with a straight and see what it does and then start messing with start angles. you dont have to run a multi angled helix you know. primary is the same as it was with the cat weights but bringing polaris weights too. got a high engagement spring from rpc in it. only 5500rpms with the cat weights. untested with polaris weight. was about 5900 with poo weights lat time with a 170 spring this rpc is a 185?. should get me closer to the 6500 i want.

getting ready for friday again

sled not ready to make it today. leaders didnt get belt yet. ordered a microloy jackshaft from micro belmont. should be ready friday. this should help with the belt slippage. currently running a polaris primary and oem yamaha secondary. think this may be the slippage problem. the new shaft will allow a polaris sec. for a matched set. cdi box coming from canada. hope it gets here in time.

blew a belt first pass, really pissed. took out the $500 hauck cdi box. the belt smashed it. good and bad....good no overrev, bad $500 DOLLARS to replace. think belt blew due to slippage.
