Now that fall is knocking on the door its time to get the sled ready.  Me and Kev's enduro sled is tore down to the chassis.  New bearings all around and a good check of all the equipment.  Lots of stuff on the list to do but I'm really excited for this season.

Got the site updated this past weekend thanks to Tom L.  Thanks Tom

Also Doug and Roger from Kammi #10 Racing have asked Kev and I to ride with them as backups at the 40th annual Soo I-500.  This is the oppurtunity of a life time!!!

trying to work out a deal with wahl for a bit of a discount on parts. ive got almost $2k in parts that id like for the sled for the best setup i can do. i may have to compromise if its too much. id like to be racing for $3500. sled was $1400 and 300 gas to get it. track was $255. off to a good start but i hate to buy new parts.

went to martin for the record attempt friday. youll never guess...eric pedaled it and blew the belt at 1000ft. we coasted through at a 10.3. that would have been the one. were still trying for the 9. this wed maybe.

after all the hard work alex and i went to nelsons with hopes of checkered flags and bonus money. well our dreams were shattered with 2 third places. you know that im not happy with that. we certainly have worked hard on this sled.

wed recap

testing went ok. i think we ran a 10.4 sumthin. it was ok but im very unhappy with how the clutches ended up. i hope the belt cures it. it took two people to load the sec spring and we couldnt even get the belt on, we had to roll the sled to get it on. not good...

turbo yammi

after racing wed night i approached a guy running a turbo apex yammi that was having a bit of trouble getting it dialed in. after talking to him a bit and telling him that i can tune yammis he want to pay me to get his sled dialed in. WOW those sleds are around $20k and now i get to play with one. hes going to be there early friday so we can get started. this is going to be cool ;)

remember

remember the xs belt that i was trying so hard to get,,, i am convinced that to get the yammi to work right we need a softer belt. its just too hard to grip a trail belt meant for 5000 miles. guess what? first i called dayco, they fixed the XS belts and have been sending them out. so then i call leaders and talk to matt. i asked him if he could get me the xs805 belt. herse where it gets really strange, he says "i just got a call from parts unlimited yesteday and they got the xs belts restocked" so i say "can you get me one by friday" and he says "i told them to send it yesterday when they said it was in".

testing tonite, big belt slip issue that i cant shake. it leaves hard (1.313 60') but promptly overshifts and squishes the belt out. we are working on that tonite. we always have friday if we dont get anywhere. there will be a few sleds there friday that may have some advice for us if we still dont have it nailed by then.

mira

since mira putting a ton of attention on us over on their site i figured its a perfect time to promote mira. we will have our sled displayed at the amsnow shootout and at nelsons show. hold on to your hats LMB is about to explode and change racing as you know it!
